1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BTC Address Checker ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BTC Address Checker provides a REST API for looking up Bitcoin address balances. The Service is provided on a credit-based, pay-per-check model.

3. Privacy & Data Usage

We collect only the minimum information required to operate the Service: your Google profile name, email, and avatar (used solely for authentication and display within your dashboard).

We do not share, sell, or distribute your personal data to any third party.

All data collected is used exclusively to provide the Service on this website.

Bitcoin addresses submitted through the API are processed in real time and are not stored, logged, or retained after the response is returned.

4. API Usage

  • Each API key is for your use only and must not be shared with third parties.
  • You may submit up to 500 Bitcoin addresses per request.
  • Each address check consumes one credit from your balance.
  • Abuse, excessive automated requests, or attempts to circumvent rate limits may result in key suspension.

5. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for safeguarding your API key. We display the full key only once at creation. If your key is compromised, rotate it immediately from your dashboard.

We do not store your API key. Only a one-way cryptographic hash is saved for authentication. The partial key preview shown in your dashboard (first and last 3 characters) is stored separately for display purposes only.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of balance data, or fitness for any particular purpose. Balance data is sourced from self-hosted Fulcrum nodes (with ElectrumX failover) in real time and may be subject to network delays.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BTC Address Checker shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
